Çürüksulu Mansion, located on the Salacak coast in Üsküdar district of Istanbul, is a building of great historical and architectural importance. Built by the Tırnakçı family in the early 18th century, the mansion was purchased by Çürüksulu Mehmet Pasha, one of the Ottoman grand viziers, in 1890 and took its present name. During the time of his daughters, Belkıs Hanım, it became a lively social hub and a frequent haunt for intellectual circles. This two-story wooden structure, built on the rocks by the sea, is an elegant example of Bosphorus mansions with its unique layout, spacious hall structure, and facade painted in red ochre.

The mansion underwent various interventions over time. In 1968, it was purchased by Ambassador Muharrem Nuri Birgi and subjected to extensive restoration by architect Turgut Cansever. During these works, elements added later that damaged the original texture were removed, and the historical details of the mansion were meticulously revealed. As in the last quarter of the 20th century, the mansion is considered one of Istanbul's rare preserved examples of civil architecture today.

The restoration works carried out by Biconsilio play a significant role in bringing this valuable structure to the present day. During the restoration process, all the wooden works of the mansion were renewed using traditional craftsmanship techniques balanced with contemporary methods. Special attention was paid to the wooden skeleton system and load-bearing elements, strengthening the structure to preserve its aesthetic integrity and ensure its longevity. Thanks to this meticulous approach, the historical identity of the mansion has been preserved without being distorted, and the building has come back to life with its original character.
