HASAN UZUN MOSQUE
Hasan Uzun Mosque is a historical place of worship located in the Bulgurlu neighborhood of Üsküdar district, Istanbul. According to official records, the mosque has a construction area of approximately 473 m² and is designed to accommodate around 600 people. With its current structural arrangements, it boasts a complex architecture including a main prayer hall, a gallery, separate ablution facilities for men and women, and lodging sections.
Over time, the mosque has been affected by urban transformation processes, such as the construction of the metro. To preserve its original architectural fabric for future generations, it underwent a comprehensive restoration process.
During this process, the work carried out by Biconsilio demonstrated a meticulous approach, particularly in the mosque's wooden details. All wooden doors and windows were restored with expert craftsmanship, adhering to the architectural characteristics of the period. The wooden joinery was strengthened not only visually but also in terms of structural durability, thus ensuring both aesthetic and functional integrity.
Thanks to this restoration, carried out using high-quality materials, the original character of Hasan Uzun Mosque has been preserved, and its historical and cultural value has been brought into the present day. Biconsilio's meticulous work has restored both the soul and the resilience of the mosque against the ravages of time.
